The goal of this lighting device is to bring a sense of life and adaptability into a space. The spray painted orange folded bristol skin allows a scrunching to occur on the rods to which it attaches to. The copper rods (weaved through the top and bottom of the bristol skin) are bent specifically to fit into the folds of the skin. The light is meant to be mounted on a wall and does so through 3D printed pieces which hold the rods and wire which can then be hung on pins or hooks. Winding along the backside of the skin is a strip light which allows white beams of light to flow across the piece. The perforations in the skin allow for beams of light to be cast on the skin itself and in whatever space the light lives in. The winding flowing light in combination with a skin that can be altered in shape and formation allows this luminere to have a life of its own and be an installation piece in a space.
